Barcode is not printing on tickets
This happens if the barcode font has not been properly initialized or installed. To verify that the barcode has been installed, which will also initialize it, go to your Control Panel and click on the Fonts folder. Look for a font that begins with IDAutomation. Close the Font folder and the Control Panel. The barcode should now print.

I have discounts setup, but the discount is not applied when I issue tickets
The ticket type that you have selected likely doesn’t have the discountable flag set.
- Administration -> Ticket Types
- Highlight the ticket type.
- Click on the box in the Discountable column to turn the flag on.
- Close the screen and return to Issue Tickets
- Delete the ticket type and re-select to have it pick up the discount.
I open the screen to Issue Tickets and none are displayed

I get a message saying that my security file is corrupt
This happens for a number of reasons.
- If more than one version of TickeTrack is installed and run on a machine. Due to the security measures only one program of TickeTrack can run on a machine. You can run many copies of TickeTrack, but they must all be from the same directory.
- You will need to call or email the TickeTrack office to get a new registration code.
- You could be trying to run TickeTrack in a folder on a local machine when it is actually installed on a server
- Call your IT person to correct the path settings in your icon
How do I change the default message when I print tickets?
The Customize Message button will appear on the issue tickets screen for departments that have a default message selected on the ticket layout. Click this button to display a screen to enter a new message. The new message is only valid during the current printing of tickets.
How do I change the value of an issued ticket?
Only Managers and Administrators can change the value of a ticket once issued.
1. History -> Ticket History
2. Find the ticket to change. Click Change on the highlighted ticket.
3.
Click Change Value.
4.
Enter the new value.
5.
Enter the reason the value is being changed.
6. Click Ok.

What do I do if my tickets are printing gobble-de-gook?
Usually turning the printer off and back on will clear this.
The tickets printed fine yesterday. Today the alignment is out. I am using a thermal printer.
Likely the lens needs to be cleaned. See Printer Support for instructions.
The date on the computer was changed to a date in the future now getting a message that TickeTrack has expired.

When issuing tickets a get a duplicate key error message.
This happens because ticket numbers are being reused. You will need to reset your ticket number.
If you have been using TickeTrack since version 2.00,
- Go to History -> Tickets.
- scroll through your ticket numbers to find the last 6 digit number used.
- click on Administration – Company
- click on ‘Set Serial’ button in the left bottom of the screen
- enter a number greater than the last number used
- click OK to save the change.
If you are new to TickeTrack since 2005,
- click on Administration – Company
- click on ‘Set Serial’ button in the left bottom of the screen
- do not enter a number
- click the button to find the last serial number used for you
- click OK to save the change.

I am trying to print 20 tickets but only 1 prints.
If you are using thermal tickets, fan fold continuous, check that the type of ticket setting is correct.
- Administration -> Printer Setup
- if the ticket stock is set to sheet, click on the drop down menu to change to thermal
My tickets are not printing
This will happen if the printer is not selected.
- Administration -> Printer Setup
- double click in the blue field for the ticket printer
- select the ticket printer
- click ok
If you have tried everything, including closing TickeTrack, and even re-booting the computer, then check your power bar that it is turned on and that it is putting power through.
My tickets are printing to the report printer
This happens if the ticket printer is not assigned correctly.
- Administration -> Printer Setup
- double click in the blue field for the ticket printer
- select the ticket printer
- click ok
If these steps do not fix the problem, and you recently got a new printer, you may need to check with your IT person to verify that the printers are connected to the correct port.

When I print tickets, the logo is not centered in the white space
The logo needs the alignment to be adjusted.
- Administration -> Ticket Layout
- adjust the numbers in the Logo Position column
- if you want to move the logo to the left, decrease the number in the X row, to move the logo to the right increase the number
- if you want to move the logo down, increase the number in the Y row, to move the logo up decrease the number
Change the number by 50 increments to see the logo move.
The above steps also apply to Text and the bar code. Use the appropriate labeled columns for each.
If all 3 sections are out of alignment, change the numbers in the Ticket Position column.
When setting up my ticket layout I entered text into a line but it isn’t printing on the ticket
Go back to your ticket layout and check the type that is selected. It must be ‘Text’ for your information to print.
- Administration -> Ticket Layout
- Highlight the department and click Change
- Select Text from the drop down menu for the line that has the text that you entered.

I want to change the default message for the tickets I am printing, but the ‘Customize Message’ button does not display

- choose the department and click Change
- select one of your printed lines to be the default message type
I go to issue tickets but there aren’t any ticket descriptions to select
You will need to setup your ticket types.
- Administration -> Ticket Types
- Enter the description and price of your ticket
- Select the discount flag if this ticket can have a discount applied to it

You have setup your ticket layouts yet.
- Administration -> Ticket Layout
- Highlight a department and click change
- Make the selections for your layout.

When I issue tickets, no taxes are calculated
Check that the tax amounts are entered and that the tax flags are set for the department.
- Administration -> Tax Codes
and/or
- Administration -> Departments
- If no check marks in the tax columns, then highlight the department you want and click change.
- Set the flags for the taxes to charge
The bar code is printing on the ticket but where the number should be has 2 stars with no number between
This happens if the ticket number becomes greater than a 6 digit number.
- Go to History -> Tickets.
- Scroll through your ticket numbers to find the last number used.
- determine a group of numbers that have not been used and require only 6 digits
- click on Administration – Company
- click on ‘Set Serial’ button in the left bottom of the screen
- enter a number greater than the last number used
click OK to save the change.
